We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Communications Manager to join our national Partnerships team. The Partnerships team are responsible for the marketing, communication and recruitment of all our programmes nationally, as well as developing our brand, story and sharing our research.

About the Role
As the Communications Manager, you will work hand in hand with the Head of Policy & Communications to help shape the voice and brand of the National Institute of Teaching. Your work will help NIoT to articulate our value to the education sector and build our reputation by engaging key stakeholders with our work.
As someone with a strong marketing and communications background, your understanding of how to adapt your approach to different audiences is crucial as we interact with a range of stakeholders, from frontline teachers to government policy makers. A strategic thinker, you will have excellent project management skills, holding the responsibility for leading key communication campaign and event project plans.
A key aspect of the role is to have operational oversight of our key communication channels such as the website, social media and email newsletters. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that our content across these channels is always of the highest quality and reflects our brand and tone of voice.

This is a hybrid role, and it is anticipated that the postholder will work on campus one day per fortnight. We offer flexible working and would consider part-time hours for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head of Policy and Communications to build our brand within the education sector.
* Work in close partnership with programme and regional colleagues to identify opportunities for brand building exposure.
* Develop, implement and lead NIoT’s communication’s strategy.
* Develop the brand guidelines and support our key stakeholders to live by these guidelines, ensuring that we develop a clearly distinct NIoT voice, look and feel.
* Work closely with our Research & Best Practice Impact Manager to ensure that our research is accessible and published in line with our brand guidelines and in support of our school-led approach, including advising on key messages and new digital-friendly formats and platforms, developing, implementing and leading an annual communications plan for RBP.
* Manage our website and social media feeds, supported by the Digital and Communications Coordinator.
* Set up internal and external newsletters and other ways to support staff and stakeholder engagement, supported by the Digital and Communications Coordinator.
* Develop, implement and lead an internal communications plan.
* Support the Head of Policy and Communications to provide communication counsel and materials for regional teams.
* Work closely with our Marketing Managers, PR and Policy Manager and Events Coordinator to ensure alignment of activities and a comprehensive brand offer.
* Supported by the Head of Policy and Communications, manage the marketing budget to ensure value for money.

Contract: Permanent, full Time
