Blossoms on the Chase Day Nursery is a private nursery setting based in the heart of Cannock.
Job description
We are looking to recruit an experienced and qualified level 3 room leader on a full-time basis to join our nursery as we expand our team here at Blossoms on the Chase.
The role includes full key person responsibilities. Experience with Famly/online learning journals is also desired.
You must have a minimum of 2 years experience within a private day nursery. A Paediatric First Aid qualification is desired, and the candidate must be willing to undertake new training. Blossoms on the Chase is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful applicants will be required to complete and pay for an enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check and register with the update service. The DBS must be maintained throughout the period of employment. Immediate start desired.
The fun bit:
You need to be innovative and fun in your approach and show you can multitask. There is also an expectation that you will carry out key person responsibilities such as observing and carrying out activities with children, and setting out and providing experiences that will stretch and challenge our little Blossoms.
Apart from the usual paperwork, knowledge of legislation and the EYFS, confidence, and the ability to be a great team player are also important. You MUST also have the following before applying:
1. Have a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special.
2. Be able to laugh at jokes you do not understand, or find funny! Preferably have a little bit of quirkiness; if a child requests you to be a captain of a pirate ship, you will be the best Captain you can be!
3. The ability to sing in tune is not necessary; however, the ability to sing out of tune and to a crowd is essential!
4. You must be able to distribute warm hugs as required. Processing skills to rapidly count the heads of numerous small moving children are essential. You must be prepared to have lots of fun (as well as work hard!) in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day.
5. Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special, and important to many young children and their families. There’s simply no other job quite like this one! If the above sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
Shifts are usually 8.5-hour days between 7:00-6:00. Salary is dependent on qualification and experience.
We offer a 35% discount on childcare for staff members.
We look forward to meeting YOU!
