Mechanical Project Engineer I am currently working alongside a leading civil engineering contractor who are looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer due to a number of new clean water contracts being awarded. My client operates across the water and wastewater sector. Mechanical Project Engineer Responsibilities: Working alongside the project management team. Overseeing mechanical aspects of projects from start to finish. Ensuring health and safety compliance. Managing the full lifecycle of mechanical systems, including design, construction, and commissioning. Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Maintaining project documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification. Mechanical Project Engineer Requirements: Right to work in the UK. Relevant industry qualifications such as HNC, Degree, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred). Possess a valid CSCS/ECS/SKILLcard or equivalent certification. Certification in SMSTS and First Aid at Work (mandatory). Proven experience in delivering water and wastewater projects, including mechanical installations. Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations. Full UK driving licence. Strong communication and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
