We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MHE Trainer & Safety Coordinator based in Luton for one of our clients on a permanent basis. Our client is a well-established wholesale distributor.
Salary: £35,000

Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities of the MHE Trainer & Safety Coordinator
* Oversee the maintenance, availability, and user compliance with manual handling equipment.
* Coordinate with maintenance contractor, schedule repairs, manage equipment utilisation, and track inventory.
* Schedule routine maintenance and carry out inspections of MHE.
* Coordinate with the external contractor for repairs.
* Deliver and maintain all training for all staff, including managing refreshers.
* Carry out observational audits.
* Ensure equipment meets safety standards and conduct certification renewals.
Requirements for a successful MHE Trainer & Safety Coordinator
* Experience within a similar role previously.
* Proven Health and Safety knowledge/compliance.
* RTITB certified.
* MHE train the trainer in accordance with ACOP L117.
* IOSH qualifications.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Emergency first aid at work trained.
* Fire Marshal.
