What you will do:
NHS Ayrshire & Arran Orthopaedic Trauma Unit at UHC has exciting opportunities to recruit band 3 posts of various hours which have become available. These posts are for Ward 2A but will provide cover as required within the Orthopaedic Trauma unit at UHC.
These posts will ensure that we continue to deliver a high standard of unscheduled care to our patients in Ayrshire. You will demonstrate a keen interest in the care of orthopaedic trauma patients and as a Health Care support worker you will integrate into the Trauma and Orthopaedic multidisciplinary team following a period of departmental training.
We are seeking individuals who have excellent communication and organisational skills that can excel in a highly pressured environment in order to collaborate with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, ensuring the patient journey is positive and safe and care is delivered in a manner which is both professional and person centred.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
SVQ3 in Healthcare related subject and/or equivalent knowledge gained in a relevant area through experience, on-the-job training and/or short courses or appropriate competency to undertake the role.
Can demonstrate a range of core skills to competently undertake patient care and other tasks and activities.
Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Training is provided to enable the Senior HCSW to comply with the Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland 2009; and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers, both as amended from time to time.
Understands and complies with HCSW mandatory induction standards and code of conduct.
