What you'll do: As a Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business's growth by ensuring it has the appropriate contracts in place. You will be responsible for reviewing customer contracts, identifying potential risks and working closely with customers and suppliers to agree on contractual wording. Your role will also involve amending and enhancing template contracts based on changes in legislation and increased knowledge. Drafting new contracts and liaising with external lawyers will also fall under your remit. Additionally, you will provide support on various legal queries and ensure consistency with the US legal team. Review customer contracts, identifying legal, commercial and operational risks Support business with customer and supplier conversations to agree on contractual wording acceptable to both parties Amend template contracts for changes in relevant legislation Enhance template contracts as more knowledge is gained Draft new contracts, Letters of Intent etc. as required Liaise with external lawyers when necessary Support with other legal queries e.g. HR; leases, either from own research or external advice Ensure consistency with US General Legal Counsel and US legal team What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Legal Counsel position brings proven experience in a similar role within a business environment.
