Reporting to: Regional Finance Director, EMEA
Location: London, Dublin, Munich or Warsaw (hybrid working)
Large Sites = Switzerland, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany & Poland
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for influencing decision making, optimizing financial performance and supporting the achievement of business objectives across the EMEA region for a large international client account. You will have the experience and confidence to critically appraise information and ask challenging questions whilst looking at the bigger picture and working with both financial and non-financial stakeholders to drive performance. Responsibilities:
* Seamless delivery of the “non-negotiables”
* Financial Controlling responsibilities
* Oversight of Management Accounting practices - Large Sites
* Responsible for complete MMR (client) Reporting - Large Sites
* Delivery of Committed Spend Forecast
* Delivery of Actuals reporting
* Operational Excellence Metric (OEM) Reporting
* Management of invoicing & PO Management processes
* Responsible for financial contract compliance, management against contractual KPIs & ownership of client audits
* Business Partnering
* Right hand to Directors of Operations for Large Sites
* Responsible for driving financial performance of Large Sites through collaboration with DOs
* Target setting & communication of results to DOs
* Analysing and understanding performance trends
* Development of tools to support operational performance
* Maintain connections with local Compass Finance leads
* Responsible for strengthening relationships with local Compass entities
* Business partner to FPMs
* Finance lead for Large Sites in client-facing interactions (Local QBDs, Monthly Finance Meeting, etc.)
* Horizon scanning & commercial planning
* Financial planning
* Responsible for delivery of Budget and Forecasts for Large Sites
* Anticipating and communicating risks to Google and Compass budgets
* Maintenance of an opportunity log for cost reduction
* Commercial thinking - growing the commercial acumen of Compass at Google teams to unlock value for the client
* Develop and deliver training for Operations teams to drive commercial acumen
* Develop & implement Purchase Income targets for Large Sites
* Storytelling
* Driving reporting development to enhance internal and client-facing storytelling
* Support Monthly Finance Review meetings with the client and quarterly QBD preparation
* Development of KPIs to support business management and storytelling
* Develop a communication framework for financial commentary & financial components of local QBDs
* Team development
* Line Management of Finance Managers / Finance Assistants for Large Sites (Switzerland, UK, Ireland & Poland)
* Responsible for individual and team development
* Establish development plans for all team members and engage in regular performance conversations to focus on growing the skills base of the Finance Team
Required experience:
* Degree educated and qualified in CIMA, ACCA or ACA
* 5+ years experience in financial control & business partnering
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
* Advanced user of Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel
* Experience in setting new standards for reporting & financial planning
* Experience of working with non-financial teams to communicate and influence performance
* Able to demonstrate gravitas as a functional expert and be able to explain complex ideas to Finance and Non-Finance colleagues

* Previous experience in the consumer / hospitality sector is preferred
