The Company
Our client is a leading Engineering company. Due to growth, they are now looking for a CNC Turner.
The Role
1. Setting up and running jobs using information from engineering drawings.
2. Operating and programming CNC machines.
3. Ensuring machine safety guidelines are being followed.
4. Ensuring correct PPE is always worn.
5. Being responsible for the production and scheduling of work.
6. Monitoring product standards and supporting quality-control procedures.
7. Maximising productivity and minimising downtime of machines.
8. Providing daily/weekly/monthly performance reports and analysis as required.
9. Ensuring the highest standards of housekeeping are maintained throughout the machine shop.
10. Working days (37 hours per week day shift Mon-Thurs).
The Person
1. Must be a time-served Turner.
2. Experience using Mazak controls.
3. Grinding experience beneficial.
4. Able to set, operate, and program machines.
5. Machining background and general all-round knowledge/experience.
6. Self-disciplined and reliable.
7. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
8. Enthusiastic, determined, self-disciplined, and reliable.
9. Apprentice trained.
10. Manufacture of development components in a tool room environment.
The Benefits
1. Excellent pay rate.
2. Dayshift role (Monday-Thursday).
3. Overtime available.
4. After probation, an uplift weekly in holiday and sick pay of around £100.
