Job summary The catering department is looking to recruit a part time experienced qualified Chef to work initially at our new hospital Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick in our Level 5 Restaurant Applicants must have City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent with high standards of work, be an outgoing, hard-working and enthusiastic individual that is able to work on their own initiative. Hours Average 18 hours per week Shift pattern Week 1 Wednesday & Thursday 10.30am - 17.00pm Week 2 Monday, Tuesday,Saturday & Sunday 10.30am - 17.00pm Applicants are required to be flexible in their approach to hours and duties and able to work additional shifts as and when required.. Main duties of the job To carry out a wide range of general catering duties in an efficient and effective manner to ensure that a high quality service is provided at all times. This post has a significant amount of personal contact with staff, patients and members of the public. To carry out duties to the required standards as efficiently and effectively as possible as part of the production team, to provide a high quality service providing safe and nutritious food to patients, staff and visitors in compliance with the Food Safety Regulations.
