Engineering Geologist - Renewable Energy
TGRC invites applications for the role of Engineering Geologist, dedicated to supporting a variety of renewable energy and infrastructure projects. This position is based in Southampton and is key to our mission of fostering sustainable development.

Job Description
As an Engineering Geologist, you will play a critical role in the assessment and analysis of geological data for our project sites. Your responsibilities will include:
* Geological Mapping and Sampling: Conduct comprehensive field studies to gather rock and soil samples, and create geological maps that inform project planning and execution.
* Site Investigation: Lead site investigations to evaluate the geotechnical properties of project locations, including overseeing drilling and sample analysis.
* Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize advanced software to analyze geological data and generate detailed reports that guide design and construction decisions.
* Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate geological risks related to projects and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
* Collaborative Project Management: Engage with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers to ensure geological considerations are integrated into all phases of project development.
* Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to environmental regulations and best practices throughout all geological tasks.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in engineering geology, ideally within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
* Expertise in geological software and GIS applications.
* Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
* Excellent communication abilities and proficiency in report writing.
* Right to work in the UK.
