About this opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity working within the Home Improvement Agency to deliver Disabled Facilities Grants in the Kendal, South Lakes area; providing professional and technical expertise; and ensuring the assessment and delivery of the grants to improve the health and wellbeing of residents in their homes.
You will be highly knowledgeable with a strong housing background and appreciative of the complexities and interdependencies of delivering DFGs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to further establish and maintain effective team working and develop partnerships.
You will assess grant applications, arrange and monitor the work, working closely with OTs and contractors ensuring that CDM and building regulations are adhered to, whilst being highly organised to ensure compliance with changing legislation and policy.
About you
You will be dynamic and flexible with a strong focus on delivery. You should be a team player but be able to organise your own workload and be committed to providing a high standard of customer service. You will have high competency with IT, and ideally have knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grants. While this post is based in Kendal, you must have the ability to travel efficiently around the Westmorland and Furness area to conduct visits and attend meetings; a full UK driving licence is therefore essential and access to a car would be an advantage.
