Wolverton Health Centre, a friendly and caring practice, has an opportunity for an enthusiastic patient navigator to join our busy reception team on a 9 month maternity contract, which could possibly be extended past this time. This role is offered on a part-time basis, for 25 hours per working 8am to 1pm, Monday to Friday. The successful post-holder will be using our clinical system, SystmOne daily so it is essential that you are confident on new systems. The main responsibilities of the role include: • Greeting and directing all patients. • Making appointments. • Answering queries and complaints from patients and outside agencies. • Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms etc. • Advising patients of practice procedures. • Registering new patients. • Maintaining patient database and records, photocopying, filing and scanning. Previous applicants need not apply. About the Candidate General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have energy and drive and have the following attributes: Good knowledge of computer systems, previous experience of SystmOne an advantage. Good communicator who is able to work on their own initiative. Energy and drive. Previous NHS, medical or healthcare experience is preferable. Some flexibility is required, as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
