Job summary Bevan Medical Group is looking to welcome a motivated, enthusiastic receptionist into our team. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, in person and over the phone. You will assist patients to access the most appropriate service and healthcare professionals, suitable for their needs, in a courteous, efficient manner. Main duties of the job The main duties of our receptionists include: Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system. Process requests for appointments, prescriptions, test results and other general enquiries. Signposting patients to the correct service. Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, colleagues, and external agencies. Registering new patients. Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient’s healthcare records Input data into patient's healthcare records as necessary. Monitor and maintain the reception area. Support clinical staff with general tasks as requested. Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota. This list is not exhaustive, and on occasion, there may be a requirement to carry out other tasks. About us Bevan Medical Group covers a geographical area from Shotton Colliery to Easington Colliery.
