Trainee Solicitor – Contested Probate

We are looking for an ambitious individual to join Talbots as a Trainee Solicitor specialising in Contested Probate within our Dispute Resolution Team. To be successful for this position, you will need at least 12 months experience with a litigious department.
As a Trainee Solicitor, you will be expected to provide accurate assistance to directors, senior associates, associates and lawyers in our Legal 500 dispute resolution team, covering a wider range of contested probate matters.

What the job involves;
* Assisting Lawyers by providing general legal and administrative support by preparing standard court forms and bundles, liaising with courts and counsel’s chambers as to listing of hearings and conferences;
* Administrating client matters using SOS case management system such as file opening procedures, document preparation and formatting.
* Diary management including the booking and scheduling of client appointments and liaising with clients.
* Take initial payments and prepare postings slips whilst ensuring compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SARs and accounting requirements.
What you need:
* To be have at least 12 months experience as a Paralegal in a civil or commercial litigation department.
* Able to work under pressure and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
* Competent in using a case management system such as SOS and MS Office applications to undertake a range of administrative duties in a paper-light working environment.
