A bit about the role
Our successful therapeutic fostering service is now looking to recruit a Fostering Social Worker to join our team. The fostering service provides safe, stable foster homes for vulnerable children and young people.
You'll be working on a hybrid basis which includes visiting foster families, attending meetings, working from home, and attending the office.
As a Fostering Social Worker for our sector leading Fostering Wales service you'll train and support Foster Parents to provide stable family homes to young people who have survived trauma so a therapeutic approach is a vital part of our work.

* Supporting foster parents with the challenges and rewards of caring for young people and children with complex needs
* Delivering excellent, evidence-informed and therapeutic practice as a member of a skilled and motivated team
* Participating in a culture of learning and continuing professional development for carers and staff
* Being responsible for your own caseload.
Let's talk about you
Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a 'can do' attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have:
* A Social Work Degree or DipSW is essential
* Registration with Social Care Wales.
* Willingness to work flexibly including participation in an out of hours telephone support rota for foster parents
* The ability to work within timescales.
