We are looking for a Nurse to join our team and provide a person centred, needs led service to adults with a learning and/or physical disability at Sunflower House and Buttercup Lodge.
We use a person-centred approach focusing on supporting people to make their own choices, follow their own interests and gain independence. We empower people to choose how they want to live their life.
As a Nurse you will be required to:
* Work in line with The Health & Social Care Act 2014, and within the laws of Health and Safety.
* Work within Contracts specifications as laid down by Commissioners from Local Authorities and Continuing Health.
* Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of the young people and their families.
* Undertake duties which will involve direct nursing/non-nursing and housekeeping.
* Ensure that the nursing care and practices in the Home reflect the care needed for young people with complex health needs.
About the Services
Sunflower House is a 7-bed registered nursing home for adults, supporting both male and female from 18 years and above with complex health needs.
Buttercup Lodge is a 5-bed registered nursing home for adults, supporting both male and female from 18 years and above with complex health needs and/ABI.
Our staff are trained in caring for younger adults with complex care needs, such as Tracheostomy care, seizure management, administration of medications and emergency medications, oxygen, suction and palliative care.
We promote dignity and respect. We recognise individual needs, based on good assessments and review processes to ensure we remain up to date with changing needs in the care our residents require. There are registered nursing staff on shift 24 hours per day, they work across both Sunflower House and its neighbouring provision Buttercup Lodge. Our nursing staff have skills and training, in working with people with complex needs and learning disability and are supported by senior carers and other trained care staff. We have an ongoing training programme, to ensure continued quality of care.
Qualifications and Experience:
* RSCN/RN Child
* RGN/EN
* RNLD
* Experience (preferable) working with young people for a minimum of 12 months.
