We are seeking a Site Services Manager who is a Continuous Improvement Champion, proactive, detail-oriented and experienced in site services. The Site Services Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all non-production related services on the site, including facilities maintenance, cleaning, utilities, waste disposal, pest control, security, ensuring the smooth operation of the facility and compliance with hygiene and safety regulations, while allowing the production team to focus solely on food manufacturing. Following significant investment, new machinery and restructuring, this is a great opportunity You'll work closely with the Engineering Manager, Site Project Manager and Maintenance Manager to drive the change from a from a ‘repair culture’ to an ‘improvement culture’ enhancing equipment performance and reliability by developing technical skills and knowledge of the wider engineering team. The Site Services Manager will lead their team to ensure statutory compliance is managed to meet relevant legal requirements and use effective continuous improvement methods to continually improve site efficiencies. Key responsibilities of a Site Services Manager: Facility Maintenance: Managing preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and building infrastructure. Coordinating repairs and upgrades with external contractors. Ensuring proper functioning of utilities like heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Cleaning and Hygiene: Implementing and monitoring cleaning protocols throughout the facility. Overseeing the cleaning staff and ensuring proper sanitation standards are met. Managing chemical inventory and usage. Waste Management: Coordinating waste collection and disposal procedures. Implementing recycling programs. Ensuring compliance with waste disposal regulations. Pest Control: Arranging regular pest control inspections and treatments. Monitoring for pest activity and implementing preventative measures. Security: Managing security systems and access control. Coordinating with local security providers. Compliance and Audits: Ensuring adherence to all relevant food safety and hygiene regulations. Preparing for and managing site audits by regulatory bodies. Budget Management: Overseeing the budget for site services, including contracts with external vendors. Identifying cost-saving opportunities. Staff Management: Supervising and training cleaning staff, maintenance technicians, and other site services personnel.
