Who You Are You are an experienced professional knowledgeable in housing allocations, dedicated to ensuring adherence to housing legislation and regulation. You possess strong decision-making skills, particularly in assessing housing register applications and band awards, ensuring effective housing solutions are provided. What the job involves In this role, you will provide advice and assistance on the Council’s Allocations Scheme and Nominations Agreement. You will oversee the allocation process from start to finish, making decisions on housing applications, managing the direct matching system, and coordinating void and new build properties input from Housing Associations. You will work closely with households to allocate accommodation in line with the Housing Allocation Scheme, including addressing medical needs, delayed discharge cases, under occupiers, and homeless cases. Skills Strong administration skills Experience in NEC (Northgate), Civica, and Jigsaw Knowledge of P6 (desirable) Proficiency in housing legislation and regulation Adept at decision making and problem solving Effective in coordinating housing allocation processes
