We have an exciting opportunity for a Library Adviser to join the Collections team within the Content and Discovery section. Part of the Libraries department at the University of Nottingham, you will be based at King’s Meadow Campus on Lenton Lane. Across the university we have eight different Libraries and employ over 200 people.

The Collections team leads on academic support for the online reading list system and promotes best practice guidance to ensure reading lists meet students’ needs and inform purchase decisions. As Library Adviser you will be the first point of contact for academic staff seeking assistance with creating and editing their online reading lists. You will also work with team colleagues to manage and develop library information resources, both physical and virtual.
You will have experience of library work or experience working in a similar role, a working knowledge of core IT systems and be familiar with office use of spreadsheets. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, meticulous accuracy and attention to detail and the desire to deliver a professional service to staff and students. Knowledge of online reading list creation and use would be an advantage, as would experience of training or supporting others and of work in an HE environment.
The post is offered on a fixed term contract for 9 months. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
