Warehouse Operative:
* On-site at Chippenham, UK location.
* Minimum salary £24,960.00.
* Full-time Monday-Friday.
JOB SUMMARY & SCOPE:
* Undertake the checking and receipt of all incoming goods in line with Company Goods Inwards processes, identifying errors or damaged items/packaging, and communicating with internal personnel and suppliers as necessary.
* Ensure the timely and accurate receipt of goods on supplier Purchase Orders using the ERP system.
* Ensure the timely and accurate receipt of faulty goods from customers using the Repair Tracking systems.
* Ensure all receipted goods are either stored or moved to the correct operational areas efficiently.
* Professionally and tactfully respond to queries and requirements raised by internal personnel regarding incoming goods.
* Pick line items on sales orders as per Company processes, making the goods available for packing and dispatch.
* Package finished and repaired goods ready for shipment, marking and attaching correct documentation in line with both Company requirements and external compliance.
* Accurately fulfill Customer sales and service orders on the ERP system and Repair Tracking systems, recording all details as per Company processes and communicating the details as required.
* Book the collection of goods from Chippenham and off-site locations using approved courier systems, ensuring delivery/collection addresses are correct.
* Complete all fulfilment tasks without compromising inventory accuracy and integrity.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail when checking incoming goods, scanning and inputting data, and ensuring all actions are accurate and fully complete.
* Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team, contributing to the completion of common tasks/goals set out by the Line Manager.
* Keep work areas clear and clean, segregating waste in compliance with Company environmental management (ISO14001) requirements, and arranging collection of waste with approved contractors.
* Assist with planned regular and ad hoc stock checks as required, reporting completion and details of any variances.
* Deputise and provide cover for absent colleagues as required, regularly refreshing knowledge of their role/processes to ensure this can be achieved effectively.
* Undertake forklift truck driving duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly and Company warehouse guidelines are observed. Oversee scheduled forklift truck maintenance checks by external service engineers.
* Undertake any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the Company.
* Required to lift heavy objects (up to 20kg).
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE + KEY TRAITS:
* Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* Ability to meet the physical performance requirements of manual work involved in the role.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and work to deadlines.
* Effective communication skills, both in writing (e-mail) and verbally over the phone and face-to-face.
* Narrow aisle FLT (Forklift Truck) training is preferable but not mandatory.
TYPICAL PERFORMANCE TARGETS:
* Independently collect and analyse information when dealing with problems and routine tasks, developing recommendations for process improvement and finding better ways of doing things.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
* Primary language used in daily operations is English.
SUPERVISION:
* No staff supervision required.

* Follow written procedures and processes, but also have the ability to use initiative to quickly answer questions and solve problems.
