Description:
To provide professional HR support to the E-Waste and Glass Division, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services across five regional sites in the UK and Ireland. The HR Advisor will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and supporting the division in achieving its strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
1. Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, providing advice and guidance to managers and employees in line with company policies and employment law.
2. Manage and resolve complex disciplinary, grievance, and performance management cases.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
1. Support the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and managing offer processes.
2. Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a seamless experience for new hires.
Policy Implementation and Compliance:
1. Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date, compliant with legislation, and effectively communicated to all employees.
2. Provide training and support to line managers on policy implementation and best practices.
HR Administration and Reporting:
1. Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
2. Produce regular and ad-hoc reports on key HR metrics, including absence, turnover, and employee engagement.
Learning and Development:
1. Identify training needs within the division and coordinate relevant training programs.
2. Support career development initiatives to enhance employee growth and retention.
Change Management:
1. Support the Head of HR in delivering organisational change projects, such as restructures and TUPE transfers.
Travel and On-Site Support:
1. Provide on-site HR support across regional sites in the UK and Ireland as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications:
Essential:
1. CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards).
2. Strong knowledge of UK and Ireland employment law.
Desirable:
1. CIPD Level 7 qualification.
2. Additional HR certifications or training.
Experience:
1. Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a multi-site environment.
2. Experience managing complex employee relations cases.
3. Track record of delivering HR projects and initiatives.
4. Experience working within a manufacturing or waste management industry (desirable).
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
7. Experience with HR information systems (HRIS).
8. Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
