E-ACT North Birmingham Academy is seeking a full time Class Teacher to commence employment in April 2025 on a permanent contract within the Science department. As a Secondary School Class Teacher, you will be joining a wonderful team who are passionate about providing high-quality education to pupils. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a fantastic team that focuses on promoting on a supportive environment, independence and enhancing life skills.
Key responsibilities:
* Have high expectations of learners to ensure they achieve their full educational potential
* Select and prepare a range of resources that take into account all students' learning needs, languages and cultural backgrounds.
* Demonstrate and teach lessons which are consistently ‘good’ or better and work with colleagues to become an ‘outstanding’ teacher.
* Have a good understanding of factors influencing student learning, including ethnicity, gender, abilities and attainment and how these relate to personalised provision for students.
* Have knowledge of a range of approaches to assessment, including questioning, oral assessment and self-assessment and the importance of formative assessment.
Pay range:
MPS/UPS Teacher Scale Range - £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Qualifications and Skills:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Degree in relevant subject.
* Proven experience in delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
* Passion for creating an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.
* Commitment to the academy's values and ethos.
