Our client is entering an exciting period under new ownership and is seeking key personnel to join their established business with a history of delivering products to companies locally and nationally for over 100 years. Working with and alongside senior management, this integral role will require an experienced purchasing professional who is capable of overseeing daily operations and interacting with their customers.
Key responsibilities:
1. Sourcing and purchasing raw materials from new and existing suppliers within Europe and Scandinavia
2. Negotiating prices and establishing successful supplier partnerships
3. Monitoring stock levels and liaising with the shop floor
4. Acting as the point of contact with customers and their order requirements
5. Ensuring timely delivery of goods inwards and outwards
The candidate:
Your specialism will be purchasing and you will be used to working autonomously controlling expenditure and confident in negotiating with suppliers. Your background will be working with owner/managed businesses and include exposure to other areas of the manufacturing operations.
On offer:
A full-time permanent site-based position working Monday to Friday with an early finish on a Friday. Free parking.
