About
NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Making a difference for you, with you. Our vision, mission and values are all part of the roadmap for all we do
Our dedication to caring and making a difference doesn’t just extend to our patients, but to our staff too. Wellbeing is a Trust priority – we were the second-highest scoring Trust in the country for the Wellbeing measure on the 2018 National Staff Survey. We are actively committed to promoting equal opportunities and diversity, and welcome applications from all sections of the community. Our commitment to equal opportunities is reflected in our staff networks (BME - Black Minority Ethnic, LGBTQ, Disability and Working Carers). We also hold the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition scheme Silver Award, and are a Living Wage and Disability Confident employer. We offer excellent employment benefits including:

Job overview
We are looking for a compassionate, highly skilled and motivated Consultant Psychologist to work within the CYP ADHD & ASD multidisciplinary team. You have junior colleagues whom you will supervise and professionally lead. You will work closely with other senior colleagues to form part of the overall leadership of the team. While the team has a specialist remit, presentations have become more complex, so a broad range of experience would ideally place you to manage this job and specialist aspect of the role can be developed within the team if necessary.
You will also join a team of Consultant Psychologists working within Children’s services, and as such have robust ‘peer support’. This team meets at least once a week. Moreover, you will be supervised and professionally managed by an experienced Consultant Psychologist/ Consultant Systemic Therapist, who is the Clinical Director for Children’s services.
We recognise that the NHS context is challenging, but you would be joining a dedicated multidisciplinary team who are passionate about Children & Young people's ADHD & ASD services. We strive to have close working relationships with operational colleagues, so in your role we envisage you having a very close relationship with the relevant service manager.
We very much want to hear from you if you are interested in working with a fantastic group of young people and their families alongside passionate colleagues.
