You must have been in the UK for 12 months prior to applying for this post and be able to provide a 6 year address history to be able to complete the prison clearance.
Main duties of the job
The Integrated Mental Health and Clinical Substance Misuse Manager role is an integral part of the enthusiastic and motivated HMP Wymott Healthcare Management Team.
The Manager will have the competences to ensure that the service provides high quality care which is safe and well led.
A supportive and visible leader who will hold direct line management responsibilities for the clinical team; ensuring that all staff are clear about what is expected and are demonstrating excellent teamwork to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
Implement programmes of change and improve clinical care including helping promote a culture where staff feel empowered, well trained and valued.
Ensuring the workforce is appropriately staffed with the right level of knowledge, skill, and expertise to deliver the service in the most effective and efficient way.
You must be confident in dealing with a wide range of situations and working with other professionals to develop effective and excellent working relationships and partnerships to ensure we provide the best care to patients within the prison.
To support and undertake all aspects of investigation process as required.
To ensure areas of responsibility are fully compliant with all relevant Trust policies and procedures and are part of and contribute effectively to systems of clinical governance.
To provide on call support as required/rostered.

Person Specification
Essential & Desirable
* Relevant professional qualification RMN or educated to degree level or equivalent demonstrable experience in a health or social care setting
* Experience of working with service users in the health & social care field
* Experience of managing staff, or demonstration of leadership at a different level.
* Experience as Team Leader
* Experience of working with dual diagnosis patients
* Introductory Certificate In First Line Management or equivalent
* Experience and knowledge of working with offender health.
* Knowledge of specialist needs of service users within the prison environment and criminal justice systems.
* Ability to deliver training packages/programmes.
* Demonstrate knowledge of policy and legislation around men in a custodial setting.
Essential & Desirable
* Experience of leading on, implementing, and monitoring a service development
* Experience of managing complex situations and competing priorities, in a diplomatic and professional manner
* Knowledge of the evidence based practice that underpins the delivery of Substance Misuse and Mental Health Services
* Ability to motivate and lead others in order to achieve service objectives
* Willing to attend further training/education
* Knowledge of working within a criminal justice setting
* Understanding health & justice performance indicators
* Evidence of physical health training
* Further professional studies undertaken within current scope of practice
* Lead as champion in an area
