About the job: Avoidance Engineer
We are currently looking for a TRR (Test, Rod & Rope) Engineer in the Birmingham, Manchester, Burnley, and Bradford area, generally concentrating on underground installations and civil avoidance. This is a pivotal role in the operation, ensuring as many blockages as possible are resolved before the need for Civils.
Duties:
1. Installation and Maintenance: Conducting Test, Rod & Rope (TRR) activities.
2. Technical Proficiency: Interpreting cable diagrams, duct plans, network diagrams, and schematics.
3. Reporting and Evaluation: Performing risk assessments, and creating A55, Box-to-Box, and photo reports.
4. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues with cable routes, especially in underground networks.
5. Regulatory Compliance: Following health and safety protocols and quality procedures.
6. Communication: Keeping site supervisors and clients informed about project progress.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Previous experience as a TRR or Cabling Engineer.
2. Licenses and Certifications:
* Full UK Driving Licence
* NRSWA - (Street Works Operative)
* SA002 - Safety Underground
* S7 PIA Sub-duct and Cable Installation
* K8 - Hand Roding and Roping (Not Essential)
* Confined Spaces Level 2 (Not Essential)
1. Technical Abilities: Proficient with mobile devices and tablets for work purposes. Allowance included for use at work.

2. Initiative and Problem-Solving: Ability to tackle issues independently.
3. Mathematical and Telecommunications Knowledge: Understanding relevant technical concepts.

6. Strong Will/Determination: In order to prevent the need for Civils call outs.
Driving Licence Required: Work vehicle provided.
