The post holder will be based at the Main Reception and will be both the focal point and gateway of Brockfield House. You will be well presented, courteous, and helpful, upholding EPUT values within all aspects of customer care. The post holder will provide effective and efficient functioning of the safety and security systems within the reception area.
The role will contribute to providing a high quality and responsive front of house reception service for the Medium and Low Secure Facility, to uphold security and to undertake designated administration tasks.
Main duties of the job
KEY AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operation of the main gate for visitors entering the grounds of the facility
* Greeting, identification and registration/processing of visitors
* Appropriate liaison with wards, departments and the back of house security
* Gate keeping of the patient and visitor airlock
* Gate keeping of the entrances/exits to the rear reception lobby
* Monitoring of the main fire control panel
* Distribution of inward post to wards and departments
* Sorting of post, incoming and outgoing
* Monitoring and recording of CCTV output
* General administrative duties related to security
* Routine security checks throughout the building both internal and external
* Forming part of the designated search team which includes the personal search of patients.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be required to work 5 shifts over a 7 day period including weekends and bank holidays.
In addition to core clinical and non-clinical support, the following are additional key activities identified as being necessary to the role in the delivery of your normal day to day activities.
* Receive regular supervision and performance reviews, identifying any developmental training as necessary and relevant to the role
* Complete Mandatory Training in line with the Trust Policy
* Take all allocated annual leave
* Undertake additional developmental training

You will be expected to undertake additional duties as delegated by the service director or service manager.
Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Good General Education
* Computer Literate
* Basic Literacy and Numeracy
* Previous experience of working within a care setting
* NVQ Care or equivalent
Personal Qualities
* Ability to follow clear instructions
* Able to work with minimal supervision
* Ability to work as a team
* Awareness of EPUT values and can demonstrate them
* Ensure a positive attitude at all times
* Maintain orderliness, hygiene and safety on the unit
