Our client, a key player in the Water/rail sector, is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This full-time, in-office role involves frequent site visits with expenses covered, providing an excellent opportunity to apply your geotechnical expertise on high-profile rail and water projects. Key Responsibilities: Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements Produce design calculations and drawings Direct and develop CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates Prepare design investigations, reports and specifications Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional, and group standards Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded Undertake work using formal processes and procedures Estimate hours required for design packages Present and attend IDC/KM7 meetings and design presentations Job Requirements: Chartered engineer status Experience in geotechnical and civil engineering design Awareness of Ground Investigation (GI) and construction methods and materials Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices Experience working in the water or railway industries Good geotechnical understanding, including the ability to produce GI specifications, interpretive reports, and design reports Graduate or HND qualification Good level of IT proficiency Registered with a professional body and working towards chartership Experience working in regulated infrastructure industries (e.g., rail, utilities, nuclear, highways, oil & gas) Benefits: Competitive hourly rate Opportunity to work on significant rail and water projects Professional development and progression opportunities Supportive and dynamic work environment If you are a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with significant experience in geotechnical and civil engineering design, and looking to make a meaningful impact on rail and water infrastructure projects, we would love to hear from you.
