Buzzworks are adding to the Project Team with a Workshop Joiner
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Workshop Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating high-quality joinery products, and maintaining a safe and organized workshop. As a Workshop Joiner, you will be responsible for constructing, fitting, and assembling various wooden structures and bespoke joinery items.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to manufacture joinery products according to specifications.
2. Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood components.
3. Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and complies with health and safety regulations.
4. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
5. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on workshop equipment and machinery.
6. Collaborate with other team members, including designers and project managers, to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
7. Carry out quality checks and ensure all finished products are of the highest standard.
8. Adhere to deadlines and deliver projects within timeframes.
9. Ensure stock levels of materials are managed and materials are used efficiently.
10. Maintain accurate records of work completed, including any issues or adjustments made during production.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar carpentry or woodworking role.
2. Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, routers, and sanders.
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
4. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
5. Good understanding of building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
8. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
9. Experience with CNC machinery (desirable but not essential).
10. Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeship (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) preferred.
Your working hours will be based most of the time in our warehouse where you will maintain the workshop area and manage the day-to-day operation.
