Health and Safety Manager

£40,000 - £45,000 Per Annum
Our well-established client is recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager to be responsible for all aspects of the planning, overseeing, and documenting Health and Safety matters on site.
Health and Safety Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for all aspects of the planning, overseeing, and documenting Health and Safety matters on site.
* Deliver comprehensive H&S advice and guidance to the directors, managers, and the business in accordance with HSE guidelines and Health and Safety Legislation.
* Produce and update Risk Assessments including Site RAMS.
* Be the main point of contact for all accidents, investigations, and reporting of them.
* Conduct regular site inspections and be present in your capacity as Health and Safety Manager.
* Lead monthly H&S meetings, conduct in-house training, and arrange external training.
* Responsible for the upkeep of all fire safety regulations and compliance, including all policies, procedures, legislation, and liaising with the local fire department.
The ideal Health and Safety Manager will:
* Hold a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
* Hold a qualification in Environmental Management.
* Have experience of working with and updating internal COSHH documentation.
* Have a background or experience in managing Health and Safety in manufacturing, engineering, or construction.
* Ideally hold a CDM qualification.
* A driving licence is essential.
* Have an understanding of machinery or commercial installation.
* Knowledge of Hot Work (e.g., Welding) is beneficial.
* Additional experience is beneficial but not essential: knowledge of lifting equipment and LOLER, manual handling, confined space working protocols, WAH qualification, face fit testing, knowledge of PUWER, awareness of LOTO regulations, and awareness of First Aid in the workplace.
