As Business Improvement Officer (Construction), you will assist the Business Improvement Manager (Construction) with the development and implementation of improvement projects, and support the smooth running of our quality and environmental management systems within the Construction Division.
You will supervise and prioritise, on a daily basis, the work of the Business Improvement Assistants in the Estimating Services Team.
You will be a creative and innovative thinker who is determined and enthusiastic. You will have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills and have the ability to influence others to accept and adopt performance improvements.
You will have knowledge and experience of applying ‘Lean Thinking' in a construction setting and experience of analysing and interpreting benchmarking data for continuous improvement.
You will have a degree level qualification or equivalent in a construction, management, environmental or related subject. Applicants without a degree but with proven experience in an appropriate role, will be considered.
A Category B Driving Licence or equivalent entitlement to drive in Great Britain is essential and access to a motor vehicle, or otherwise able to meet the requirement to travel efficiently to other locations is essential.
