Project Engineer (Electrical) Sandown / Isle of Wight
The Role
We are currently recruiting for Electrical Project Engineer to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the Southern Water Framework, based at our site in Sandown. You will be reporting to a Project and Contract Manager and will be responsible for supporting all technical and commercial aspects of Electrical installations on site. Candidates will be qualified in Electrical Engineering but should have a good appreciation of electrical and civils professions.
Responsibilities:
1. Attend internal and external design review and progress meetings
2. Review electrical & mechanical design documentation
3. Review specifications and outline/detailed designs
4. Procurement of Electrical & Mechanical Equipment and support for subcontract procurement
5. Ensure that site installation works and quality match both design and appropriate industry standards
6. Record and Review as-built information
7. Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
8. Programme Updates
9. Procurement schedules
Qualifications/Competency:
10. Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering
11. Water Engineering background preferred but not essential
12. Good working Knowledge of Safety, Health Environment and Quality Procedures
13. Microsoft Office and CAD packages
14. Good appreciation of Excel to a ‘Higher’ level
