Locum Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) • Bolton, Greater Manchester • £35 per hour Temporary/Locum ongoing contract • Full-time hours • Start Date: ASAP We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Locum Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join the Integrated Neighbourhood Team in providing high-quality mental health care in the community. As part of this role, you will be responsible for supporting individuals with mental health issues, offering assessment, care planning, and intervention to improve their wellbeing and quality of life. Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive assessments, including risk assessments, mental state examinations, and care planning. • Deliver person-centered care and therapeutic interventions to individuals in the community setting. • Offer crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs, social workers, and psychologists, to ensure integrated care. • Monitor and review care plans, ensuring regular follow-up with service users. • Offer advice and guidance to service users and their families, promoting recovery-focused practice. • Keep accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation in line with trust policies and procedures. • Participate in case reviews, supervision, and team meetings to support ongoing professional development and team cohesion. Requirements • Current NMC Registration as a Registered Nurse (Mental Health). • Previous experience working as a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) in a community setting. • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Experience of risk assessment and crisis management. • A good understanding of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and recovery-based interventions. • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
