Our client is a family run business which supplies warehousing facilities, transport and distribution covering the UK and Europe. Due to continued expansion, they require an additional customer service advisor to work within the warehouse administration department. This position is based in the UK Traffic office in Preston, in a large vibrant office which houses Transport, Network, Transport Admin, Networks and Warehouse admin, it is a busy and lively environment. The hours for this position are a rotating Shift Pattern - 0700-1530, 0800-1630 and 0900-1730.
Job specification:
1. Working mainly on our in-house Traffic Management System and our Network Partners Systems following through deliveries to their end destination
2. Checking deliveries are running on time and informing the customer of any issues
3. Dealing with a high volume of customer queries via phone and email
4. Liaising internally with our Traffic Department regarding any changes or updates to the system (e.g. pallet quantities or date changes)
5. Checking out Network Partners Systems to ensure all pallets are out for delivery and informing the customer of any issues
6. Arranging re-routes if necessary (e.g. if a pallet has been mislabelled)
7. Dealing with the unallocated freight sheet from the warehouse. This is a list compiled by the warehouse mid-morning each day which details the job number of any pallets on the warehouse floor which have not gone out but show today’s delivery date.
