Position Summary:
To undertake general stores duties (including goods receipt and issue, stock control). Input information to the computerized business databases and undertake general road vehicle driving duties and forklift truck operation. Key responsibilities will include:
1. Responsible for undertaking general duties within the depot stores, including goods receipt and issue, and stock control.
2. Replenishment of line-side maintenance stock
3. Responsible for entering precise and accurate information in the computerized business databases to ensure inventories, locations, and configurations are accurately recorded.
4. Full understanding of booking materials to service orders. (Correct material allocation)
5. Create paperwork for stock rejections.
6. Updating storage bins, stock locations, and quantities
7. Tracking of internal/external float material through SAP
8. Undertake the PI cycle count process as led by the Materials Controller
9. Responsible for the safe operation of the fork-lift truck
10. Unloading/Loading vehicles, ensuring that all material is located correctly.
11. Responsible for general road vehicle driving duties associated with the depot
12. Arranging transport and transfer of material from depot to depot/outstation
13. Responsible for reporting any defects with tools, plant, and equipment immediately
14. Full understanding of write-off, scrap, and waste management process
15. Develop/adapt Lean principles in line with Continuous Improvement Programme
Person Profile/Experience:
1. Good knowledge of Stores issuing/receipt processes.
2. Full understanding of Health and Safety procedures throughout the workplace.
3. Must have a full license for both counterbalance FLT and Reach truck.
4. Inventory management experience is advantageous.
5. Proficient in computerized business tools (SAP and MS Office such as Excel and Word)
6. Proven experience and track record in a similar position (warehousing/Logistics)
7. Proven experience in stores control
8. Good communication skills
9. Experienced in using computerized business tools (eg SAP, MS Office)
10. Clean Driving Licence
