About The Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager / HR Operations Manager to join our team, reporting into the Head of People. It is an exciting time to join our team as we are working through departmental change and transformation.
This role will work as part of the HR and wider People Team to provide a high standard, accurate and timely HR operations service to customers, covering a broad range of activities associated with the employment lifecycle and its development across WWT.
The HR Operations Manager will lead the provision of a high quality, efficient and cost-effective HR services across WWT (both in the UK and overseas) for both employed staff and casual workers and managing a team of HR Administrators. This role requires a unique skill of ensuring compliance but also challenging the status quo and continuous improvement.
In addition to the core elements of the role, there is an opportunity to get involved with a wide range of people related projects including Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, health and wellbeing and organisational development.
This is a full time position, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Whilst this post is based at our WWT Slimbridge site the role is able to work in a hybrid way. Travel to our 10 Wetland Centres around the UK will be necessary from time to time, to understand our ways of working and work alongside people to evolve our people practices and to attend meetings as required.
This role supports our colleagues in Cambodia and Madagascar as well as the UK. We understand that most applicants will not have experience of employment practices in those countries. If you have good UK employment law and payroll experience, we believe we can help you learn the rest.
A current driving licence is essential as is willingness to travel to other WWT locations, staying away from home as and when required. We do not expect this role to travel outside of the UK, unless mutually agreed.
