Trainee Research Infrastructure Engineer

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

The mission of our team is to manage and administer the efficient operation of the Advanced Research Computing HPC (High-Performance Computing) systems and support their users. Our users are research staff from a wide range of departments and disciplines across the University. They utilise the HPC systems to perform modelling, analysis, and simulations, which are crucial components of their research. We are seeking a talented and dedicated Research Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help drive our mission forward.
This position offers the opportunity to build on your current technical knowledge and develop a career in the IT Research community. With a tailored training and development programme defined, you will be on track to take on more independent responsibilities and projects and ultimately progressing towards the full role as Research Infrastructure Engineer.
