The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that Queens Hospital receives a high quality, patient focused Soft FM provision that delivers an excellent patient, visitor, and staff experience. In addition, the post-holder will ensure that value for money is achieved whether the service is delivered through a directly employed workforce or contractual arrangements with a third-party provider. The post-holder is expected to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with other staff members characterised by trust, mutual respect, and open, honest communication. The post-holder will support the Associate Director of Estates and Facilities and the Estates and Facilities Leadership team in the development and delivery of a Group wide facilities strategy.

Person Specification
Education/ Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at Management level within Facilities Management.
* Membership of BIFM or similar.
Skills/ Abilities
* Must be able to work under pressure and respond well in crisis management situations.
* Use of various forms of media to support communications and presentation skills within the hospital setting.
Experience/ Knowledge
* Demonstrable management experience of soft facilities and contract management in an NHS or public sector environment at management level.
* Experience of managing a tendering process.

Salary: £59,490 to £66,239 a year, inclusive.
