What you will do: - Manage a caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases transferred from DAAT at the first Initial Child Protection Conference or Child in Need meeting. Cases will remain under your expert care until resolution or escalation to legal proceedings. - Collaborate with internal and external partners, including both statutory and non-statutory agencies, to offer comprehensive support for children and families. - Provide your safeguarding expertise, leading discussions, and offering advice, support, and training where necessary. - Develop strong relationships with children, young people, and their families, amplifying their voices and improving intervention outcomes. - Participate in the ongoing growth and development of practice areas within the team, gaining exposure to various facets of social work. Requirements: - Hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. - Demonstrate proven experience in working with children and families, particularly in safeguarding capacities. - Possess excellent communication, assessment, and intervention skills, coupled with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
