This is a 6 months fixed term position in the Investment Team supporting the Contracts Manager in taking responsibility and leading on the delivery of a variety of the group’s investment projects to pre-defined time, quality and cost criteria within the group’s investment plan. This position will require travel across Shropshire & Herefordshire. As our Contracts Surveyor you will be: Taking assigned projects within the investment plan from pre-tender procurement stage through to final handover Preparing specifications, procurement, project management and contract administration Ensuring works are carried out to a high level Act as Principal Designer where necessary. Operate within the financial restrictions of the group’s Standing Orders and will be required to manage a range of professional external advisors including architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, local authorities, solicitors, etc. Ideally having a background within a mechanical or electrical discipline of the construction industry This role has been identified as suitable for hybrid working which will be a combination of home working and working from our offices with Head office at Craven Arms and travel to other offices as required.
