We require an Assistant Transport Planner / Administrator to work for a leading company at their Walsall branch. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Dispatcher and Branch Manager to plan, coordinate, and optimise transport routes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to customers.
The ideal candidate will have some experience of working in a Transport Administrator, Assistant Transport Planner, Dispatcher / Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator role, though consideration will be given to candidates with other relevant experience who can demonstrate high attention to detail and organisational skills.
Key tasks:
1. Work with the Dispatcher to design and coordinate optimal transport routes for HGV drivers, ensuring swift and reliable delivery of products.
2. Engage with customers to keep them informed and satisfied regarding deliveries and collections.
3. Efficiently manage paperwork, from processing documents to ensuring smooth transitions.
4. Oversee a variety of administrative tasks, including invoicing, filing, and handling phone inquiries, to keep operations running smoothly.
