Job Description This is a home based role with regular travel required across the UK and potentially Europe. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving business growth through personal sales targets while also leading and mentoring a small team of business development professionals. The team is responsible for all Biopharma Product Testing work from UK Biopharma customers – selling the capabilities of the UK BPT labs and the European and global Eurofins BPT lab networks. Main Duties Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve personal and team sales targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the biopharma product testing market. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of business development professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve team objectives. Prepare and deliver compelling quotations, presentations and proposals to prospective clients. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and technical experts, and other Eurofins country labs to ensure client needs are met and provide constructive input to process/delivery improvements. Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management. Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing. Support design of service solutions. Management of UK ComLIMS (CLO, CLQ, CLPA). Management of contractual processes. Scheduling of team activities. Delivery of training. Develop commercial and market awareness initiatives for all employees. Propose and implement continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
