As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented Content and Communications Lead to join our team and help us amplify our voice and engage our audience. Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively. The Role You’ll ensure that all external communications content is consistent and of the highest standard. You’ll commission and create content across all external channels, proactively telling the story of Sizewell C for external audiences and stakeholders, with responsibility for key organisation publications with large readerships. You’ll work independently and play an important role in communicating the progress of the project and its numerous benefits to local and national media, protecting and enhancing its reputation. You’ll also plan and deliver content focused on the local community, helping to deliver the objectives of the Regional External Affairs and Development Team (READ). The Skills You’ll be the centre of communications at Sizewell C, with very high-visibility deliverables. You’ll therefore need to have a well-honed understanding of external risk and be able to understand complex audience perspectives. A great writer, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality and engaging content across a range of communications channels. You’ll have previous experience in commissioning and publishing content in media and ability to build relationships with media stakeholders. You’ll have previous media handling experience and an interest in the national media landscape. Experience and competence with key media platforms and software desirable, including media monitoring databases. Experience with editing and publishing software also desirable, including Adobe Acrobat and Publisher. Good understanding of technical issues and ability to translate them into simple language. Good influencing skills and ability to work well with others in a large and complex organisation, including senior leaders in business.
