Due to our continued growth and success, we are looking for a Site Engineering Manager to join our Engineering team in Wrexham (LL13 9UG). The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs; however, flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the business.

What would you be doing?
Our Vision as a business is to be the “Go-to” supplier of bakery products, working nationally with retailers such as M&S and Waitrose on their premium private label range and regionally through the Village Bakery brand.
As a Site Engineering Manager, you will be directly contributing to this vision through your core tasks and responsibilities, which will include, but are not limited to:
1. Ensuring a safe environment for those who work in or visit any of our manufacturing facilities.
2. Developing and leading a team of shift engineers through appraisal, mentoring, and performance management.
3. Delivering proactive, planned-preventative maintenance to ensure equipment meets capacity demand and efficiency targets.
4. Efficient reactive maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
5. Identifying and implementing changes for continuous improvement to maximize plant efficiencies and energy optimization.
6. Managing contractor performance on site.
7. Supporting the introduction of new equipment to our production facilities.
8. Managing the workload and capacity of the team resource.
9. Building effective relationships and communicating clearly with stakeholders.
10. Continuous professional development through industry-specific training.
11. Ensuring audit readiness at all times.
12. Working alongside our projects engineering team.

Essential
1. Demonstrable experience within a similar people and stakeholder management role.
2. Time-served multi-skilled engineer for hands-on support.
3. Great communicator.

Desirable
1. Experience in lean manufacturing principles.
2. Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
