An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Service Manager to join the Plastic Surgery and Dermatology team on a fixed term 12 month period, within the Specialised Surgery Directorate. This is a well established patch and an excellent development opportunity for those wanting to progress in a management role.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual. As an Operational Services Manager, you will play a crucial role within the Directorate team, working closely with a wide range of teams including admin & clerical, clinical and the wider operational management team to ensure efficient and effective management of the Plastic Surgery & Dermatology patch. The OSM will be supported by a Junior Operational Services Manager.
Main duties of the job
This post offers an excellent opportunity for development, gaining exposure to a wide range of operational issues within the directorate. Current focus includes theatre utilisation, management of waiting lists and achievement of all local and national cancer and RTT targets.
We are looking for someone who has a proven track record within a management role that is able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively forge and maintain relationships. The ability to manage a busy workload and to prioritise, quickly find solutions and to focus on critical issues when decision making is essential.
