Lea Vale Medical Group are looking for a Medical Receptionistwith experience in customer service to join our Ampthill branch surgery. This is an exciting role as you'd be joining an establishednon-clinical team that serves over 45,000 patients and is rated outstanding bythe CQC.
The role is part time from 7:45am
- 1pm

Main duties of the job
Our receptionists help patients to access theright services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date, andensure that appointment bookings are well-managed. We are looking for someonewho is confident and has an empathetic manner.

Job responsibilities
Make appointments for patients to see GPs, nurses or others.
Communicate with patients, visitors and Practice staff to ensure surgeries run smoothly and on time.
Provide patients, visitors, etc. with basic information and act as a resource, where more help is required.
Operate clinical computer system and maintain high quality data entry.
Communicate with other agencies like transport, phlebotomy, hospital etc.
We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals, who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service and have the following attributes: Ability to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients at all times; Experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic in all situations; Capable of remaining calm, with consistent accuracy and concentration under pressure; Strong IT and administration skills; Enthusiastic with energy and drive; Reliable and dependable;
Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable but not necessary as full training will be given
