Wellbeing Lincs is a countywide service, supporting adults across Lincolnshire to achieve confident, fulfilled and independent living through a range of service elements and support.
Wellbeing Lincs operates its own response service to provide a reliable response in situations where there is no-one else conveniently located or able to help in a hurry. The Response service provides a non-medical emergency response, some of the reasons we would attend to support someone include:
• Someone is alone and awaiting an ambulance and requires reassurance.
• There is urgent lighting, heating issues, loss of power and again reassurance required.
• Client may have fallen, uninjured but needs help to get up off the floor
We are recruiting for a Response Officer to join our friendly and supportive team here at West Lindsey District Council based at Billingborough Fire Station.
You will be mostly a lone worker but, there are always other colleagues on shift at other stations. We are a 24-hour service, working on a 52-week working pattern, worked out over 8 hour shifts 365 days a year. Average working hours are 34-36 hours a week. Hours can be discussed at interview.
Typical duties include:
• Providing support after a fall - helping clients up, using lifting equipment, re settling them, getting help if required etc. for example calling an ambulance.
• Emergency personal care only – dressing, toilet use, personal hygiene
• Supporting with Environmental issues- power outage (trip switch issues)
We are looking for individuals who have previous caring experience either in a job role or personally, are caring and compassionate, have good computer skills and a full clean driving licence is essential.
