Job description
PE Teacher Bury – September
We are specifically working with a Good secondary school in Bury, who are working with ourselves, to find a qualified teacher to join them teaching PE key stage 3 & 4 from September until Christmas on a full-time basis.
You will be required to become fully immersed in the department, attend departmental meetings and be available for parents evenings as and when required. As well as deliver lessons that are both engaging and academically appropriate to stretch the students in the classes.
It would be advantageous if you have experience coaching a school cricket, football or rugby.
This is a brilliant chance to get involved in a school that puts the students first with a warm, happy, and safe environment. The staff and students have a sense of pride in their diverse culture and celebrate this with a culture day, which focuses on the different backgrounds that make their community better. The students take on extra responsibility demonstrating their maturity. This includes school council, being a prefect or a librarian. The school also has a strong community spirit with a community fridge, which connects them with the wider area. The leaders of the school constantly raise their expectations of students which has created an improvement across the school. The student also supports its staff in all aspects with CPD to make sure they are always developing.
The role will be open to newly qualified teachers (ECT) as well as teachers who have more experience, we pay from M1 to M6 (sometimes we can also pay through threshold if you have done so, depending on the role).
