We are seeking a passionate Religious Studies Teacher to inspire students and encourage open-minded discussions on philosophy, ethics, and world religions. This role begins September 2025.
Duties as a Religious Studies Teacher:
1. Plan and deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum.
2. Encourage critical thinking and meaningful discussions on moral and ethical issues.
3. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Religious Studies examinations (if applicable).
4. Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
5. Create an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
6. Contribute to the wider school community, including assemblies and extracurricular activities.
Ideal Religious Studies Teacher:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. A degree in Religious Studies, Philosophy, Theology, or a related subject.
3. Experience teaching Religious Studies at Key Stage 3/4/5.
4. Strong classroom management and communication skills.
5. A passion for inspiring students and fostering respect for different perspectives.
6. The ability to promote thoughtful debate and independent thinking.
