We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Enterprise Service Testing Chapter to join our newly created Testing Automation Centre of Excellence team in Unity Place - Milton Keynes.
You will help the Enterprise Service improve productivity and efficiency in QA activities by enhancing testing automation levels, adopting tools, KPIs, and methodologies, and assembling teams with the right skillset.
As a leader in the team, you will lead by example and work closely with other domains and stakeholders across the bank to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.

* Finding synergies with other areas and facilitating the adoption of tools and methodologies.
* Developing and executing testing automation strategies to improve automation levels, including backlogs while ensuring product evolution through different releases.
* Ensuring technology practices and design patterns are aligned with best standards and the wider company strategy, providing excellence in Quality Assurance experience.
* Managing resources and teams in the Chief Information Office and Centre of Excellence, closing knowledge gaps in technology and methodology.
* Building and leading a high-performing team focused on driving innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring:
Essential requirements for success in this role:
* Performance and proficiency with Agile and DevOps approaches.
* Knowledge or experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Kubernetes.
* Experience using various technologies for automation/DevOps pipelining, including Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) technologies.
* Proven IT project management skills in Agile/DevOps transition projects.
* Experience working in a team with shared responsibilities and knowledge of monitoring tools and implementation.
* Proven experience implementing technologies such as JAVA, Atlassian Stack (JIRA, GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, Groovy, Nexus, Confluence), Appium, Selenium WebDriver, AWS, Docker, Python.
It would also be nice for you to have:
* Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Experience in the domain of Enterprise Service, Financial Crime, Payments, or Banking and Savings.
* Experience in Product Management and driving results in Agile environments.
What else you need to know:
This permanent role is based in Unity Place – Milton Keynes.
We offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern, with an expected level of attendance in the office of at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
